Week of November 29, 2010

English 10 students will enjoy movies and popcorn this week! They will also compare and contrast the To Kill a Mockingbird movie with the novel they recently finished reading. Then, before we begin Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun, students will watch Remember the Titans and complete an assignment which focuses on comparing themes and characters with To Kill a Mockingbird. Next week, we will begin reading A Raisin in the Sun which includes several writing assignments. We will also continue to study Grammar and Parts of Speech (Verbs are next) before Winter break.
